Hi,
My name is Dan Brown and I am a 20 year old ‘upbeat acoustic’ musician based in Bristol, UK. My performance name is Macatier.
I was wondering if there was a possibility I would be able to be featured in your blog? I would happy to give away free downloads.
I have supported bands and artists such as The Xcerts, Tellison, Tony Haven, and These Reigning Days.
A few weeks ago I recorded a session at the London Red Bull Studios and have been invited to record another session at the end of the summer.
I perform live very often, having performed at the UK’s most famous venues in the south west, including The Croft, The Fleece, The Louisiana and Mr. Wolfs. Earlier this year I was offered a headline set at The Fleece.
My SoundCloud is http://soundcloud.com/macatier
My Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/macatier
My YouTube is http://www.youtube.com/user/macatiertv/videos
My Tumblr blog is http://macatier.tumblr.com/
My Twitter is https://twitter.com/Macatier
I am attempting to increase the size of my fan base, and I would very much appreciate any help you would be able to offer me?
Thank you for your time,
Dan

About Blckshp Records:
Blckshp Records is a young record label and cultural producer from Buenos Aires. Our goal is to achieve the release of the most elegant and modern dance music.
Founded by Gabriel Conti a.k.a Bike Warrior, who is also the founder of ”In Party We Trust” one of the most popular festivals of EDM in Argentina.
Manifesto:
”Our critique began as all critiques begin: with doubt. Doubt became our narrative. Ours was a quest for a new story, our own. And we grasped toward this new history driven by the suspicion that ordinary language couldn’t tell it. Our past appeared frozen in the distance, and our every gesture and accent signified the negation of the old world and the reach for a new one. The way we lived created a new situation, one of exuberance and friendship, that of a subversive microsociety, in the heart of a society which ignored it.
Art was not the goal but the occasion and the method for locating our specific rhythm and buried possibilities of our time. The discovery of a true communication was what it was about, or at least the quest for such a communication. The adventure of finding it and losing it. We the unappeased, the unaccepting continued looking, filling in the silences with our own wishes, fears and fantasies. Driven forward by the fact that no matter how empty the world seemed, no matter how degraded and used up the world appeared to us, we knew that anything was still possible. And, given the right circumstances, a new world was just as likely as an old one.”
The manifesto text is called NOISE AND SILENCE and is part of the movie WAKING LIFE.

Hey Karan,
I’m in a musical project based in Allston/Boston, Ma, called This Much, and we just released our first two song EP. The songs are a mix of rock and folk/acoustic, and could be described as similar to Bon Iver, Fiona Apple, and the Fleet Foxes… similarly mellow and melodic as some of the stuff you have posted. We’d very much like to be included on your blog, and we appreciate any consideration. Heres a link to the EP:
We hope you get a chance to listen, and look forward to hearing what you think if you do!
Thanks-

Whats up?
I’m David and I sing for a new project called Honey Bones. Were releasing our first self-entitled EP on July 20th. Here is our single for it called “dragg” which you can download for free.
http://honeybonesmusic.bandcamp.com/track/dragg
Honey Bones is my buddy Ivan, guitarists/bassist and I. We went to high school in Idaho together and always loved making music. However he moved to California, I stayed in Idaho. We started messing around sending ideas back and forth till we decided to do this project. He records guitar and bass and sends it my way then I sing and produce the rest of the track. Here is a link to our facebook and a pic.

Hi,
I represent the Seattle-based experimental ambient rock band, Piano Piano. Our debut full-length album, ‘When I was not in myself, no one alarmed me’, was just released on August 18th! We are contacting media organizations and reviewers who regularly cover artists we enjoy and respect with a digital download and some more information surrounding the album.
Our album is self-funded and self-released in conjunction with our startup label imprint, Chalk Aphelion Record House. We are handling publicity and promotion ourselves as well. We regularly perform in Seattle WA and will be pusuing regional touring once it becomes logistically feasible.
The album was recorded and mixed at Bear Creek Studio in Woodenville, WA by Jerry Streeter (Blonde Redhead, The Lumineers). Mastering was performed at Sterling Sound in NYC by Greg Calbi (Mogwai, Grizzly Bear, Shearwater, Blonde Redhead, Sonic Youth, Low, Sunny Day Real Estate).
Here is our one-page and album art:
Click to access PIANO%20PIANO%20one-page.pdf
The album is available through CD Baby (physical order and download), Bandcamp, iTunes, and Amazon. It is also available at local shops in the Pacific Northwest (Sliver Platters, Easy Street, Sonic Boom, and Everyday Music), and we will be expanding physical distribution to other regions over the next year. Vinyl is tentatively planned mid-2014.
If you send us an email at pianopianoband@gmail.com, we can get you a digital download of the full album. Four public tracks can be posted via Soundcloud however (Corah, Vivid Dream, Christopher Pt.1 & Pt. 2). Hope you enjoy the album!
Here are the four sharable tracks:

Just for fun, in case you’re wondering how we generate the ‘solo’ in Vivid Dream 😉
Also, here is a live performance of Talisman:
Lastly, here’s a recent article we were featured for in SPREAD:
http://www.dontspreadbullshitspreadmusic.com/piano-piano-myself-alarmed/
Currently, we have an upcoming live 1hr KEXP radio/video broadcast scheduled for this Fall and are continuing to performing in support of the record.
Let us know if you’d like more information, and we would be happy to correspond via email. If you end up writing about the album (good or bad), please send us a link, as we would like to direct traffic to your site via our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, et cetera)

Biog:
SHOWROOM DUMMIES is a London based power trio. Gigi (pronounced ‘gee-gee’ and he is not a girl!), Pharoah (now, that’s a name! he LOOOOVES tennis!) and Kevin (he speaks “Brezhoneg”) met at a warehouse party somewhere in East London. They were making some serious noise playing unconventional instruments (you know…those “never seen” instruments you’d find in the neighbour’s rubbish bin) until some drunken pointy shoes dude from Dalston said: ”hey guys, what’s your band called?”. Whether he was fooling around or not, they took it as a sign.
Since that day, they got better even though Gigi had to learn how to play keyboards with his feet (he is still learning btw!). They’ve been creating imaginative, yet essentially simple tracks. Their lyrics are witty, truthful, declamatory, fun, profound, honest, light (yeah, I know!). Their sound is characterful, bold and confident. Not to be missed!

flora-tropics.tumblr.com
Here’s an introduction wirtten about us on hotvox.co.uk:
“Flora Tropics are four lads based in East London who hope to achieve a sound between the rays of a distant 60’s California and their own small town anxiety in urban drudgery. Somewhere between current bands like DIIV, Wild Nothing and past artists from Leonard Cohen to Dire Straits with their love for Grunge and trip-hip as a backdrop.”
Thanks,

HI Karan,
Hope you’re good… We’re BhangLassi – a band from Sydney but all originally from England, hence the accents.
‘First Things’ First’ is our debut LP – a labour love that’s taken us four years to record independently and it’s now available on SoundCloud for streaming and embeds here: ,a href=”https://soundcloud.com/bhanglassi/sets/first-things-first”>https://soundcloud.com/bhanglassi/sets/first-things-first
If you dig it, drop me an email and I’ll send you the track details, lyrics and a press-release and any MP3s if required. We’re looking for some exposure and/or a review to help us promote it as we are as I say unsigned.
We’ve also just released a video for the first single which is available here: http://bhanglassi.com/sos

Hey Karan,
My name is Chris. I find your blog great. We share the interests of music and photography/editing. I dig the pictures you post with the music. I play drums for a band called Lucky Is The Lion. We released our debut EP, Elevator Speech, on all major music platforms in late July. I was curious if you would be interested in reviewing the music. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. The music has been described as, “Alt-pop that shares its themes with the city that raised it: a blend of Cleveland’s unwavering hope and poetic desperation.” Lucky Is The Lion is a trio consisting of brothers, Jeff and Chris Bukovec, and Justin Chambers. Here are a list of a few links where the music can be found:

Hi Karan,
How is it going? I enjoy reading and discovering new music in Instant Filter. Earlier this year I started an LA based Indie Latin Rock project under the name of Mik Current and I’d like to show you my second single “Lies”, in hopes that you may listen, enjoy and share the music 🙂 Mik Current’s take on rock is to infuse it with his latin american roots, by adding rhythms that are used in salsa, merengue, and other latin styles in his music.
Thanks for considering and please let me know your thoughts:
